2 Days/ 1 Night from 89€ (on the basis of two persons)

An oenologist will be there to welcome you to the Medieval City of Carcassonne, the “gateway” to the different Crus;  and will lead you on the discovery of the different Terroirs.
You will learn the basics of wine tasting in a Minervois Château and admire the vineyards and fig orchards in a Corbières Domaine awarded the Regional Trophy Agri-tourism in 2010.
You will set off to explore the architectural heritage (City of Carcassonne; church, Roman bridge and disk-shaped steles of Monze, ruins of the du Château de Miramont ; 19th century winegrowing Château ) and the natural heritage (Massif de l’Alaric listed NATURA 2000).
These women and men, all passionate about their jobs, will invite you to their tables for a winegrower’s country-style aperitif with a selection of local products.

Day1 : Saturday
- Reception at the Cité de Carcassonne tourist office
- Trip to the Comptoir des Vins to find out all about Languedoc Roussillon vineyards and a wine tasting session around 3 wines.
- Cassoulet lunch on site!
- Free visit of the City at the beginning of the afternoon .
-  Meeting at the Château L’Amiral in the Minervois vineyards ( “Bienvenue à la Ferme” network) for a beginners workshop on wine tasting (practical tips: what material ? where to taste? Method? ; visual, olfactory, gustatory examinations, overall evaluation and to end, the gift of a summary booklet)
-  Winegrower’s country-style aperitif with a selection of local products.
-  Night in a bed and Breakfast (3 or 4 star) or an exceptional Hôtel Logis “Relais du Silence****” in the ancient Château de Gaston Bonheur according to the customer’s choice.

Day 2 : Sunday
- Visit of the Domaine de la Lause in the  Corbières vineyards (Awarded the Regional Trophy for Agri-tourism in 2010 ; “Bienvenue à la ferme” network and Qualified as using Reasonable Farming Practices)
- Tour of the village and short ampelographic walk commented by the Wine grower.
- Tour of the wine cellar with explanations provided by the winegrower .
Winegrower’s country-style aperitif with a selection of local products.
- Back to Carcassonne via the touristic route over the Massif de l’Alaric (discover the ruins of the Château de Miramont with its magnificent view over the Aude plain and the Montagne Noire).
Possible walk around the Cavayère Lake at the entrance to Carcassonne.
