Riberach to Bélesta
30 km from Perpignan between the ancient kingdoms of Aragon and France, at an altitude of 370 m, Bélesta has some extraordinary tales to tell (prehistory, the wine epic, right up to the present day) and all in a unique landscape (Fenouillèdes, the Orgues of Ille-sur-Têt…).
Opened on the site of a former wine cooperative dating from1925, the 2500 m2 Riberach has been completely refurbished to offer high-end hotel and dining services while keeping its wine-making and historic character.
Seasonal vegetables freshly sourced from local farmers, perfect cooking times, subtle blends of spices and juices make for fine expertly honed cuisine. The young and professional staff contribute to the quality of the cuisine itself, wonderfully enhanced by the 250 items on the wine list. The 30,000 bottles on offer from 10 hectares of vineyards offer a guarantee of both quality and subtlety, thanks to the organic production methods used.
Riberach offers 18 rooms, including 7 in the old wine vats.. It is an astonishing discovery – total comfort and a complete change of scene in this contemporary Mediterranean-style establishment.
Between the sea and the mountains, enjoy a range of wine-tourism holidays and tasting ceremonies: a moment to share but above all to savour in this former temple of wine …
