The Vineyards and Food of the Region around Carcassonne

We are delighted to bring to you our guest a locals view of this fabulous region and discover the many hidden treasures in the three departments of the Aude, Haute Garonne and the Ariège with there long history from the Gauls, Visigoths and of course the Romans.

Not forgetting the crusade against the Albigiose heretics the Cathars we will also be covering the wine growing appellations of Carbardes, Cotes De Malepere and Limoux.

Fine Wine Tours can meet clients at Carcassonne Airport or Train station, which has regular flights from the UK and Ireland with Ryanair. Alternatively from Toulouse Blangnac Airport or Toulouse train station. Its also possible to be met at Narbonne station and Beziers airport. For this tour we stay at the Hotel Relais Royal, a beautiful 17th century townhouse, lovingly restored by hosts Rogier & Gerwin. On arrival you can sit and relax with a glass of the local sparkling Blanquette de Limoux while Angus explains details of the tour. After a gourmet dinner and fine wine, a good sleep and a sustaining breakfast it is time to start the tour.
