The best preserved amphitheatre from the Roman era
Visit the amphitheatre, this impressive monument built during the reign of the emperor Augustus in the 1st century AD. Relive the games of Antiquity thanks to a lively and fascinating tour. The tape guide gives new life to the ancient stones and is available in 8 languages.
The Treasure Hunt
Bringing children to cultural sites to discover our history and civilization is essential. A treasure hunt in the amphitheatre, in the midst of the tiers and galleries is offered for free at the entrance to the amphitheatre.
The Maison Carrée
The Maison Carrée is the only Roman temple in the world preserved in its entirety. Discover this temple built by Augustus 2000 years ago. Journey into the past with the “Heroes of Nîmes”, a 3D film showing the history of the city and its most famous heroes.
The Tour Magne
At the top of Mount Cavalier, discover this Roman tower overlooking the city. It is the sole survivor of an ancient Roman enclosure. Climb the steps and admire the panoramic view of the whole city.
