Monuments France Roussillon
From the banks of the Rhône to the feet of the Pyrénées, The National Monuments of Languedoc-Roussillon open their doors 360 days a year.
• The counts’ château and the ramparts of the city of Carcassonne: 1000 years of architecture and 2600 years of history, Unesco World Heritage Site.
• The towers and ramparts of Aigues-Mortes: perfectly preserved, 1600 metre enclosure and towers.
• The fortress of Salses: a unique example of military architecture.
• The Saint-André Fort in Villeneuve-lez-Avignon: the most beautiful viewpoints over the Rhône Valley.
• The archaeological site and museum of Ensérune: remnants of a vanished civilisation.
The fortress of Salses located in the Pyrénées-Orientales département and the earl’s castle of Carcassonne in the Aude département are unique settings for company events. The mysterious Salses brings to light unimagined skills during team building events on its military parade ground. Its chapel and stables are also places for organising cocktails and gala evenings with character guaranteed.
And as for the earl’s castle, it opens up the Viollet le Duc hall for receptions at the heart of one of the best preserved mediaeval architectural citadels in Europe. A must!
