Diving France - Mediterranean
At Cap Béar, three wrecks are accessible to experienced divers.
At Banyuls - Cerbère, the Marine Natural Reserve abounds with a variety of rare species (red coral, gouper, white sea bream, lobsters, langoustines....), a paradise for divers. An underwater pathway has been created to allow the public to discover the sea-beds in safety.
The rocky seabed of Languedoc-Roussillon has unusual geological origins, like the volcanic rocks of Le Cap d’Agde, the Côte des Albères on the Vermillion Coast and the rocks between La Grande Motte and Palavas les Flots.
Many diving clubs are situated along the seashore offering underwater activities, including deep sea diving (sub-aqua), underwater fishing and marine archaeology.
