Surf casting

Come and practice in Gruissan in the Mediterranean.

Le Surfcasting Surfcasting, Gruissan

Surf casting is generally practised with a rod in 2 or 3 sections, or a telescopic rod.
This type of fishing is practised on the beach using a rod fixed in the sand and consists of casting the bait quite far out in order to be able to target larger fish. Depending on the weather or time of fishing, practitioners must wear waders.

Surf casting fishing can be practised:
• with the lead weight touching the ground and the rod pointing down towards the ground before the cast is made; or
• with the rod held generally level, with the momentum for drawing the line off the reel derived mostly from the sudden rotation of the fisherman towards the sea.

Come to practice on the beaches of Gruissan in the Mediterranean with Alain, a qualified instructor accredited by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
