Naturism

The sunny climate and the diversity of its countryside have helped make the Languedoc-Roussillon the leading naturist region in France.

Languedoc Roussillon

Naturisme Naturism - France Nudist

With its annual 300 days of sun, the Languedoc-Roussillon constitutes one of the principal naturist areas in Europe, and has 45 centres that are affiliated to the French Naturist Federation.

Located either at the sea-side, up in the hills, or set in the countryside, these centres offer all sorts of accommodation, and there is a choice between camp-sites, rental apartments, holiday villages, chalets, mobile-homes, and hotels.

From the Camargue in the east, to the Côte Vermeille in the west, you will find a variety of naturist beaches and centres to suit all tastes, whether it’s a festive or family holiday you’re looking for. At the forefront of naturist destinations located within the Mediterranean basin, Cap d’Agde has an autonomous naturist village with its own 2km of beach, its own marina, a wide choice of activities and distractions, and all necessary services.

Behind the coast and inland, the Cévennes, the Pyrenees, and other stunning natural sites form a perfect framework for holidays, taken in harmony with nature, for naturists looking for an outdoor lifestyle.

Naturist Walking Naturist

Walking is becoming increasingly popular in the naturist movement, consisting as it does of walking cross-country and enjoying the well-being and freedom that come from removing all the constraints of clothing. The law has been relaxed recently regarding nudity outdoors, and naturist walkers can make the most of nature according to their philosophy of « living in harmony with nature …….. encouraging self-respect, respect for others, and caring for the environment ».

The Languedoc-Roussillon Naturist Federation

In this unspoilt natural environment, where sea meets mountains, the Languedoc-Roussillon makes the most of its natural advantages. With 300 days a year of sunshine, water-worn and landscaped into gorges and canyons at the higher reaches, into beaches and sand-dunes at the lower, the Languedoc-Roussillon is a sporting paradise. For all out-door activities, both in summer and in winter, it offers as much for beginners as for the adept, be they climbers, skiers, walkers, or just nature-lovers.
