Dominated by the medieval towers of the Duchy, the Fenestrelle Tower (12th century), a listed building in the style of an Italian campanile, Uzès, ducal town which is also the seat of a bishopric, lived its glory days in the 18th century and is today famous for its wealth of architectural heritage.

Things to see in Uzès : - Georges Borias Municipal Museum: this museum houses a major collection of ceramics and a room dedicated to the family of the writer, André Gide. - The Medieval Garden: place dedicated to discovering the plants used in the middle ages. - Haribo Museum of Sweets: a delicious way for the whole family to spend a while discovering the famous and inimitable Haribo sweets.

The Uzès Evening Music Festival

Since 1995, this July festival has been dedicated to the masterpieces of the Baroque era, played on early instruments by the finest musicians: Jordi Savall, Gérard Lesne, Pierre Hantaï, Olivier Vernet, Denis Raisin-Dadre...
