An exceptional natural environment, remarkable natural, historical and technological heritage, a wide range of sporting activities and plenty of opportunities for fun and relaxation. Bolquère is an authentic mountain village located in the heart of a magnificent landscape surrounded by sixty or so lakes and mountain summits that reach an altitude of almost 3,000 metres.

Another way of exploring Catalan culture with local produce and dishes: tomato bread, cargols (snails), boles de picoulat (meatballs in tomato and olive sauce) and crème catalane (lemon-flavoured crème brûlée), all washed down with a Roussillon or Muscat de Rivesaltes wine or a glass of Banyuls.

The Yellow Train

This little mountain village, perched at an altitude of 1,632 metres, 4 km from Font Romeu, is served by the Yellow Train and has the highest station in France.
