Vendres France - Beach Languedoc
The village of Vendres has retained many traces of its past. It still has the typical appearance of a Mediterranean village, with its fountains and traditional square, shaded by plane trees, a favourite place to meet the local population.
The terraced vineyards around the lagoon, which is home to a quite exceptional range of flora and fauna, provide wonderful views - not to mention a top-quality wine.
Things to see & do: - The marina - The Gothic church, dating from the 14th century, with its bell-tower built in 1696 - Renaissance façades - The rib-arched cellars
