Languedoc Roussillon is perfect for South of France beach holidays : more than 40 of the region’s beaches fly the blue flag, the European award for clean bathing water. A network of canals converges on this ancient town, which has a commercial and fishing port as well as a sailing harbour.

There’s an enormous choice of different places to stop during your Languedoc Roussillon holiday-afloat. In total, there are 30,000 marina berths in 27 harbours. Port-Camargue, next door to Grau-du-Roi, is one of the largest marinas in Europe with 20,000 moorings. The sailing resorts are a hive of activity, all year round. There are friendly regattas for the family, or more competitive racing if you want it. You can visit boat shows or watch stages of the Sailing ‘Tour de France’ and the Clairfontaine Trophy. In the bay of Aigues-Mortes, you can watch training sessions for the America's Cup. All the marinas welcome visiting yachtsmen, and many offer superb facilities.
