More than 200 French and foreign films: comedies, detective films, horror, adventure, arthouse, science-fiction, series, adverts... have been made in Languedoc Roussillon.

Did you know?

Both Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) by Kevin Renolds and The Sucker (Le Corniaud) (1964) by Gerard Houry with De Funès and Bourvil were partly filmed in the fortified city of Carcassonne.

In Gruissan on the Aude coast and in Marvejols in Lozère the mythical 80s film, “Betty Blue” by Jean-Jacques Beineix was made with Béatrice Dalle, Jean-Hugues Anglade and Gérard Darmon.

In 1953, in Anduze in the Gard region, the lorry scene in The Wages of Fear (Le Salaire de la peur) by Henri-Georges Clouzot was filmed with Pierre Vanel and Yves Montand.
