French Famous Singers from Languedoc-Roussillon

Recognised “giants” of French song-writing such as Charles Trenet, originally from Narbonne, who celebrated « La Mer / The Sea » in a song written on the train between Montpellier and Perpignan, and Georges Brassens,  from the « public benches » of Sète, both knew how to transmit the conviviality of the Languedoc-Roussillon through their work .
But the South of France has also given birth to more recent singers, such as Cali (Vernet-les-Bains), Olivia Ruiz (Carcassonne), Boby Lapointe (Pézenas), Ricoune (Montpellier), and Julien Doré (Nîmes) who marked French culture.
