The raw power of rinôcérôse

Back in university where they fi rst met, they were known asJean-Philippe Freu and Patou Carrié.

Today, these former students from Montpellier have long left the crowded lecture theatres behind them, combining their passion for electro music by creating Rinôcérôse (rhinoceros), a raw and unusual name for a musical style combining the pulsating beat of house music, warm and enchanting bass sounds similar to dub, piercing guitar riffs and intense, seductive phrasing.

Chosen from their fourth album “Schizophrenia”, since 2006 the track “Cubicle” has been used as part of Apple’s new iPod campaign.

For 10 years now, this duo has enjoyed success without ever letting it go to their head.
