For three days every June, Beaucaire in the Gard celebrates the myth of the Drac.

For three days every June, Beaucaire in the Gard celebrates the myth of the Drac - a hideous monster hungry for human flesh.

The townsfolk bring the monster to life the form of a long procession, which snakes through the town led by a swarm of children carrying Chinese lanterns.
