So, to gain your bearings in the midst of this patchwork of lands and the many “AOC” controlled-origin labels, including the many wines from within the Pyrénées-Orientales county, why not contact the Interprofessional Committee of Roussillon Wines [Comité Interprofessionnel des Vins du Roussillon (CIVR)] The history of the vine, the perfect harmony between food and wine, with recipes galore…

Through the promotion of the seven Roussillon labels [appellations], an in-depth wine tour takes you in turn to the Cathare region (AOC Maury), onto the abrupt terraces of the Pyrenees (AOC Banyuls), in between plains and mountain (AOC Collioure), along the valley of Agly (AOC Côtes du Roussillon Villages), in between the Corbières Massif and the Pyrenees (AOC Côtes du Roussillon), or into the Catalogne region (AOC Rivesaltes and Muscat de Rivesaltes). The CIVR site also proposes a complete list of producers, as well as conferences and tasting sessions, all with a Roussillon wine and local produce theme.
