The farms of Languedoc-Roussillon don’t just offer great produce, they also offer all types of holidays, activities and meals. Holiday farms offer accommodation and meals, with leisure activities on site or nearby. They cater only for small groups, to preserve the family atmosphere, and serve meals based on local specialities and farm produce.
Farm campsites are leafy sites, close to the farm, with pitches for tents and/or tourers. You may also be able to buy gourmet produce at the farm gate. There are also farms offering one or more horse-riding activities, with or without accommodation. Several farmers welcome and accompany huntsmen and guarantee the quality of the game.
Farm Inns offer hearty cooked meals with menus designed around the farm’s own produce. Many farms in the ‘Welcome to the Farm’ network offer afternoon tea - light refreshments and drinks - usually from 3pm to 6pm. Some farms offer mid-morning snacks. And of course many farmers sell their own produce direct to the public.
Farms in the ‘Welcome to the Farm’ network (‘Bienvenue à la ferme’) guarantee the high quality of their produce - they’re committed to meeting the strict standards set out in a quality charter. Farms in the network may offer holidays, meals, activities, or simply their own produce. Find out more
