The Limoux Carnival is not so much a parade as a kind of dance, governed by rules handed down from father to son for the past 400 years

March 25th is judgement day for Her Majesty Carnival, a day inevitably marked by its incineration, with closing festivities lasting well into the night for “la Nuit de la Blanquette” (The sparkling wine of Limoux).
