Set among the vineyards, Carcassonne is a thriving city on both banks of the Aude river.

A Historic City, it dates back 2,500 years and is privileged to have two monuments listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites: Canal du Midi and the Mediaeval Citadelle.

Between the Canal port and the fortified city, the visitor will discover Bastide Saint-Louis with its several fine houses, churches and herb market.
